H Mart is seeking a Junior Buyer to drive profitability and product performance by sourcing high-quality grocery items and coordinating distribution for stores. You will negotiate with vendors, analyze market trends, and leverage SAP data to optimize pricing and supply chain operations.

The role involves evaluating suppliers, performing market research, and maintaining item master data in SAP while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or SCM.
• Proficiency in SAP (Item Master, PO creation) is highly preferred? (as per text)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with vendors on availability, product specs, distribution, deadlines and price.
• Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends.
• Create and maintain item master data in SAP; Item Description, Scan Code.
• Review daily and weekly reports and drive data-driven purchasing decisions.

Purchasing

• Negotiations with vendors on availability, product specs, distribution, deadlines and price.
• Evaluate suppliers/vendors based on product quality, price, documentation, and shipping schedule.

Market research

• Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends.
• Investigate and respond to field issues.

Data Analysis

• Make weekly sales data
• Review and analyze daily and weekly reports
• Create and maintain item master data in SAP; Item Description, Scan Code

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or SCM (preferably in the retail or food industry)
• Proficiency in SAP (Item Master, PO creation) is highly preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis
• Detail-oriented, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset for trend spotting
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is often preferred for vendor communication
