Hours include early mornings, nights and weekends. Ideal candidates have 1–3 months related experience, high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of produce products.

Qualifications

• Food service certification preferred.
• Knowledge of knives and their uses.
• Experience in stocking, rotation, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise department operations to meet sales, gross profit, and labor goals.
• Prepare and portion all produce items per standards.
• Coordinate with Produce Manager on production, merchandising, and distribution.
• Oversee training, ordering, attendance, and employee policies.
• Interview and develop associates for Produce and Produce Prep.
• Ensure knowledge of department products and keep quality standards.
• Plan product distribution and maintain inventory for freshness and turnover.
• Receive, price, and restock items per procedures.
• Motivate staff to achieve sales and service goals.
• Provide excellent customer service and lead by example.
