Job summary

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals; temperatures <32°F and 32–40°F; greater than 90°F.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Cleans department and maintains sweep logs.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready; works shifts and attends trainings.
• Provides courteous customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean and sanitary environment; keeps equipment clean per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
