Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New York is seeking a Produce Team Member to handle fruit and vegetable prep and merchandising while delivering friendly, efficient service. You will follow safety rules, assist customers, and support store programs and health regulations.

You may be asked to maintain signs and pricing, keep the area clean, and participate in training. Prior retail experience is not required, but physical tasks include lifting and long standing hours.

Qualifications

• Must provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members.
• Understand health, safety, and sanitation rules and follow Weights and Measures guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM quality and prep guidelines.
• Maintains sampling program and clean, sanitary department.
• Arrives on time, well-groomed, and prepared for shifts and trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers with questions and selling techniques.
