Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is seeking an Assistant Produce Prep Manager for the Bloomfield location to help manage the Produce Prep Department. The role involves cutting fruits and vegetables, directing department activities to achieve sales, gross profit, and labor goals, and coordinating with the Produce Manager(s) on workflow, training, and staffing.

The position requires the ability to train and develop associates, oversee inventory and quality control, and maintain strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
• Food service certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut fruits and vegetables to make cups, tray and salads.
• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the department to meet sales, gross profit, and labor goals.
• Direct workflow in production, merchandising and distribution with Produce Manager(s).
• Oversee training, ordering, time and attendance, employee purchase policy and discipline with Produce Manager(s).
• Assist in interviewing, training and development of associates in Produce departments, following policies and laws.
