The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is seeking a dedicated professional to develop and expand our produce distribution program across six counties. The role involves coordinating with community partners, recruiting new distribution sites, and managing logistics for a growing network of about 200 distributions per month.

You will train partners, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years related experience in human services or customer service is acceptable.
• Nonprofit customer service or program coordination experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with groups serving seniors is a plus.
• Unencumbered State Driver's License is required.
• Able to travel locally for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Produce Distribution program with community partners, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance.

SUMMARY

This position will focus on developing and expanding produce distribution programming for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank by working closely with community partners throughout our six-county service area. The role will cultivate relationships and regularly travel within Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Richland counties to support and strengthen produce distribution efforts. Working in partnership with the Manager of Produce and CSFP Partnerships and internal teams, this position will help coordinate and manage the logistics of a growing network of approximately 200 distributions per month. Responsibilities include recruiting new distribution sites, training and orienting partner organizations, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance documentation, and sharing best practices with produce distribution partners. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and be committed to providing a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

• Coordinate the GCFB Produce Distribution program by working directly with community partners to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and ensure compliance.
• Responsible for maintaining and verifying the produce distribution schedule and preparing necessary documents for Ceres fulfillment and fleet delivery.
• Work closely with community partners to record and report community feedback, questions, and concerns. Collaborate with the Community Health, Nutrition, and Measurement team to host feedback sessions as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Food Sourcing and Operations GCFB team to create action plans for increased food literacy and issue/complaint resolutions.
• Verify and update partner information in the database and product orders with scheduled distribution regularly.
• Facilitate training and onboarding for Produce Distribution partners, making sure all sites are compliant in training and State/Federal regulations
• Conduct pre-approval site visits for Produce Distribution programs.
• Maintain up-to-date files and documentation on the program sites. Ensure that all applications, agreements, and required documentation by Feeding America, State, and Federal agencies are updated on an annual basis.
• Conducts site visits at produce distribution sites in accordance with state/federal/GCFB policy.
• Communicate any issues during site visits with the Compliance department so corrective action can be addressed and completed.
• Collaborate, maintain, and update the Produce portal and other web features as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training in human services or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous nonprofit customer service, program coordination, and database management experience a plus. Familiarity with organizations that serve seniors/aging population is a plus. Unencumbered State Driver’s License required. Must be willing and able to travel (mostly locally) for the organization. Must possess strong attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and other members of the Agency Services team. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary. Proficiency in Windows-based computer software with an emphasis on spreadsheets and word processing is required. Exceptional organizational skills. Adaptable to change. Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people. Required commitment to making interactions across different cultures and backgrounds a strength of our organization as demonstrated through work, life or community experience.

Physical Requirements and Environment

The physical requirements for this position include: Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., frequently. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Occasional ability to ascend/descend stairs to access workspaces. Occasional ability to position or move the body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment. Ability to constantly exchange accurate information and communicate in person or via telephone with clients, partners, donors, coworkers, and other members of the community. Must be able to constantly view a computer screen. Ability to move office equipment/supplies occasionally. Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly. Travel is frequently required for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Range: $47,500 - $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience
