This position is responsible for the timely transfer of product from various locations to proper pick bins and designated warehouse locations. This position is also responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate receiving, tagging, and storing of food and non-food products, in support of the instructions and objectives established by the Receiving Supervisor. This position is responsible for the physical maintenance of the loading docks and equipment. This position also maintains high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety. HS Diploma/GED preferred. One to two years warehouse/material handling experience required. Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred. Reach truck experience preferred. Serve-safe certified, preferred. Required commitment to making interactions across different cultures and backgrounds a strength of our organization as demonstrated through work, life or community experience.
The physical requirements for this position include: Occasional ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office and to access truck cab and deliver product constantly. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Ability to ascend/descend stairs to access workspaces frequently. Ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment constantly. Ability to constantly be able to exchange accurate information, take and give direction and hear safety warnings. Ability to constantly inspect product, judge distance between equipment, shelves and permanent structures. Ability to frequently detect spoiled product or quality of meals. Ability to move office equipment/supplies constantly. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary Range: $21.60 per hour, commensurate with experience
