This position will focus on developing and expanding produce distribution programming for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank by working closely with community partners throughout our six-county service area, with an emphasis on expanding produce distributions that serve low-income older adults 60+. The role will cultivate relationships and regularly travel within Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Richland counties to support and strengthen produce distribution efforts. In addition, this position will coordinate the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), the GCFB’s senior box program, helping to support the distribution of over 3,000 boxes per month to 51 partners. Responsibilities include recruiting new distribution sites, training and orienting partner organizations, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance documentation, and sharing best practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and be committed to providing a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training in human services or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous nonprofit customer service, program coordination, and database management experience a plus. Familiarity with organizations that serve seniors/aging population a plus. Unencumbered State Driver’s License required. Must be willing and able to travel (mostly locally) for the organization. Must possess strong attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and other members of the Agency Services team. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary. Proficiency in Windows based computer software with an emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing required. Exceptional organizational skills. Adaptable to change. Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people. Required commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment as demonstrated through work, life or community experience.
The physical requirements for this position include: Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. frequently. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Ability to ascend/descend stairs to access work spaces on seldom occasions. Ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment on seldom occasions. Ability to constantly exchange accurate information and communicate in person or via telephone with clients, partners, donors, coworkers and other members of the community. Must be able to constantly view a computer screen. Ability to move office equipment/supplies occasionally. Ability to lift 10-30lbs on a regular basis. Travel is occasionally required for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary Range: $46,000 - $51,000 per year, commensurate with experience
