Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Produce Associate to support the produce department by purchasing, replenishing, merchandising, and ensuring accurate pricing while upholding health and safety standards.

You will monitor inventory, assist with promotional displays, and provide courteous, efficient service to customers and Team Members, working with the store to meet stocking, spoilage control, and sales targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of produce department operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes produce through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Maximizes sales potential through stocking and merchandising procedures.
• Ensures orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
• Arrives on time and adheres to health and safety standards.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
