Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles is seeking a Produce Team Member to help order, replenish, and merchandise produce while following ordering standards and health guidelines.

You will assist in promotional displays, maintain clean and safe work areas, and support leadership in inventory and sales targets. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to WFM procedures.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Extensive produce product knowledge including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes produce through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink; participates in inventory.
• Maximizes sales through stocking and merchandising.
• Ensures timely and accurate orders to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
