Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Produce Associate to stock, replenish, and merchandize produce while supporting regional promotions. You will monitor inventory, manage open PO reports, and help maintain OTS standards and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Familiar with produce merchandising and promotions.
• Proficient with ordering and inventory control processes.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes produce through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper stocking and merchandising.
• Ensures orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
• Arrives on time, well-groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and suggests add-on sales; answers phones promptly.
• Follows procedures including health and sanitation and safety practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; keeps equipment clean.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
