Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Team Member to purchase, replenish, and merchandize produce while supporting regional programs and promotions. You will monitor inventory, assist in promotional displays, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to health regulations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and timely ordering to maximize sales. This position requires 12+ months retail experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including

Qualifications

• Extensive produce product knowledge including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends.
• Familiarity with nutritional information and display standards.
• Working knowledge of merchandising and inventory concepts.
• Strong math and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes produce through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink; achieves turn goals.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets.
• Maximizes sales potential through stocking and merchandising procedures.
• Ensures timely and accurate product orders to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
• Provides courteous customer service and assists customers and Team Members.
• Performs duties for opening, mid, and closing shifts and checks pricing.
