Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is hiring a Coordinator team member to plan, direct, and supervise department operations. You’ll oversee daily ordering, receiving, stocking and display activities to maximize profits while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

You will lead staffing, training, and performance actions, with a focus on exceptional customer service and adherence to food safety standards, building a productive, compliant team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and provide direction to team.
• Ability to mentor team members and support safe, efficient operations.
• Serv Safe Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career development within the department.
• Support disciplinary actions and contribute to performance decisions.
• Achieve department sales, labor, and margin goals (attain P&L targets).
• Review sales goals, costs, shrink, and stock levels; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to shoppers about products and procedures.
• Ensure food safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized backroom and display areas.
