Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a Produce/Stock Associate to maintain stock levels, support department sales, and ensure quality customer service. You’ll work with produce staff to drive sales, manage inventory, and promote high standards of presentation and product quality.

Ideal candidates have a High school Diploma or GED, 1+ years in a related role, and Food Handler plus Manager Food Safety certifications.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED plus 1+ years related experience or equivalent
• Food Handler certification required
• Manager Food Safety certification required

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign, and direct work
• Review historical data on sales, ads, and promotions; co-manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels
• Improve sales performance and financial results; support public relations and product quality
• Inspect product for quality control and food safety; ensure proper labeling
• Promote sales via suggestive selling and attractive displays
• Maintain stock conditions on displays; ensure inventory accuracy
• Greet customers and respond to questions and complaints; provide friendly service
• Adhere to safety procedures; maintain clean, safe working environment
