Job summary

Ralphs in Pasadena is seeking a production-focused team member to deliver outstanding customer service in the Produce department. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment, assist customers, and support sales goals while following company values.

The role involves handling produce, stocking, prepping platters, offering samples, and upholding quality standards. Must be 18+, able to lift 30 pounds, and hold a food handler permit where required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by answering questions and recommending products in the department and throughout the store.
• Perform duties related to cutting and packaging produce items, stocking, CAO and Key Retailing.
• Prepare fruit and vegetable platters/trays.
• Offer product samples to customers.
• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Review and inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Recommend produce items to customers to meet their needs.
• Regularly lift up to 30 pounds.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stock conditions; note discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Support safety programs by following procedures and reporting hazards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Follow directions and seek help when resolving customer issues.
• Provide assistance with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
