Job summary

Fry's Food Stores is seeking a dedicated team member to deliver exceptional customer service and help the department achieve sales goals. You will ensure a safe, clean store environment, assist with produce prep, and answer customer questions with product recommendations.

The role requires the ability to handle stress, strong communication, basic math skills, and a valid food handlers permit. Prior retail experience and a willingness to learn are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean environment for customers and associates.
• Assist with produce preparation, labeling, and inventory of department merchandise.
• Inform customers of specials and respond to product questions with helpful suggestions.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures.
• Label, stock, and inspect department products for quality and freshness.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and promote trust and respect among staff.
• Support safety programs and report any safety risks or incidents to management.

• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
