Job summary

ShopRite East Haven is seeking a Produce Manager to direct all functions of the Produce Department and supervise its Associates to meet department goals, while upholding our safety and service priorities. The role reports to the General Store Manager and requires leadership, strong English communication, and hands-on supervision of daily tasks.

The position is full-time, non-union, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, flexible schedules, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include strong English reading/writing/speaking abilities and basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift and lift 25–60 lbs.
• Comfort with basic computer functions and customer interactions.
• Ability to lead Associates toward department goals and comply with attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Produce Department.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals (sales, profit, customer experience).
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper product handling per policy.
• Ensure proper stocking, labeling, pricing, and rotation of items.
• Oversee training and onboarding of new department staff.
