Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Albany is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the produce department in our Albany, GA stores. You will manage ordering, stocking, pricing, and staff while upholding quality and safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Candidate should have at least one year of produce experience and a high school diploma; managerial experience is a plus. This is a full-time, in-person role with benefits including health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing promotional programs.
• Collaborate with department staff to improve efficiency and sales.
• Maintain shelf allocations and product availability with store owner/manager input.
• Review safety, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Communicate with store leadership on issues and merchandising decisions.
• Ensure proper shelf, display, and storage conditions.
• Train employees on portioning, presentation, and packaging to minimize shrink.
