Weis Markets is seeking a department supervisor in Owings Mills, MD. You will lead a team in the produce department, ensuring top customer service, accurate merchandising, and efficient operations.

Your role includes scheduling, training, and evaluating associates, while maintaining inventory accuracy and profitability. You will develop local merchandising plans, coordinate with store management, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail/foodservice/supermarket environments.

Responsabilités

• Promotes excellent customer relations with a positive, professional attitude.
• Schedules and supervises all department associates; participates in training and performance reviews.
• Develops localized merchandising plans and creates displays to drive sales.
• Maintains inventories and records to track department performance and profitability.
• Ensures proper receiving, dating, restocking, and product rotation; monitors quality and freshness.
• Controls department expenses, labor costs, and shrink; enforces company recipes for prepared items.
• Maintains cleanliness and 5S practices; ensures health and safety compliance.
• May assist other departments as needed and supports team to improve performance.
