Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a Produce Department Manager to lead daily operations, uphold freshness standards, and drive strong merchandising and customer service within the Produce department. You will manage staff, execute corporate merchandising programs, and ensure safety and quality across all displays.

You will train and coach associates, optimize labor, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment to deliver vibrant, market-fresh produce customers trust daily.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team supervision experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong customer-service mindset with attention to freshness and detail.
• Merchandising excellence and ability to execute planograms and seasonal sets.
• Experience in inventory management, shrink control, and food-safety compliance.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills for staff development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Produce Department operations with focus on freshness, quality, and service.
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure staff knowledge and training.
• Execute merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and displays.
• Maintain appealing produce displays and manage rotation and freshness standards.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, inspection, and storage per safety guidelines.
• Manage shrink via inventory controls and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and manage labor schedules; coach and develop associates.
