Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support the Produce Manager in all daily operations of the Produce Department. The role includes supervising staff in the manager's absence and ensuring high standards of quality and service.

You will assist with scheduling, training, inventory, and display of produce while maintaining sanitation and safety. A background in food handling and customer-facing roles is essential, with a strong teamwork orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery.
• Food handling license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in department operations.
• In absence of the Produce Manager, supervise the department.
• Greet customers and assist with cashiering as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and enforcing policies.
• Process invoices, reports, inventory, and supplies orders.
• Maintain sanitation and rotate produce for freshness.
• Record damages and support shrink control.
• Support fruit basket orders and display fruit manifestations.
• Work with team to deliver excellent customer service.
