Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is looking for a part-time Produce Clerk to merchandise produce, assist customers, and maintain freshness and cleanliness in the department.

You will greet customers, stock and rotate items, and help with lightweight cashiering and bagging duties. The role requires a High school diploma, 18+ years, and a food handling license, with a fast-paced environment in a supermarket setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery.
• Possesses a food handling license.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Performs basic cleaning of department, hourly checks of grocery floor to complete sweep & mop log.
• Stocks and rotates produce items, while trimming items to maintain freshness and quality.
• Removes damaged items from produce floor and records weight of damages for tracking.
• Fulfills fruit basket orders, blows up balloons, adds ice to and cuts fruit to display in section.
• Maintains sanitary standards in all areas, especially cutting melons.
• Refills produce bags, bale empty boxes.
• Performs some cashiering and bagging help when needed, register accuracy, knows/carries out proper register procedures.
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager.
