Albertsons Companies in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Produce Department Manager to direct operations and lead a team of produce staff. You will supervise daily tasks, ensure customer service excellence, maintain product freshness and safety, and coordinate merchandising and inventory.

You will train and develop personnel, monitor performance, and work with store leadership to meet quality and financial goals while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualificações

• Must understand duties within the Produce Department including trimming, cutting, displaying, watering, building displays and rotation of stock.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to manage people and stay calm with customers and staff.
• Knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices.
• Understanding of company practices and department policies; ability to judge and respond to business needs.
• Knowledge of produce variety, perishability, safety, handling, labeling and related procedures.
• Ability to lift up to ~75 lbs; manual dexterity and coordination.
• Basic math and weights knowledge related to produce operations.
• Operates computer software and electronic systems.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and trains produce staff; ensures customer service goals are met.
• Oversees day-to-day produce operations to achieve service, sales and profit targets.
• Monitors performance, staffing, hiring decisions and scheduling to meet budget and service levels.
• Inspects produce sections for freshness, quality and safety; rotates stock and discards spoiled items.
• Assists with receiving, cleaning, trimming and merchandising; supports promotions and displays.
• Maintains inventory, records and logs for orders, sales, labor and ad items.
