Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department and job information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on performance and participate in appraisal processes.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with products.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Plan and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Educate staff on current promotions and in-store initiatives.
• Assist with department budgeting and cost control.
• Manage inventory processes and CAO training for staff.
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs.
