Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
• Communicate information to associates about company, department and job specifics.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates on performance and participate in evaluations.
• Create an welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Inform and educate associates about promotions affecting the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales/merchandising supervisor.
• Assist in budgeting, expenses, and financial reporting.
• Schedule price changes and maintain shelf tags.
• Plan inventory processes and train on CAO.
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and stressful environments.
• Ability to manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support in interactions with minors, special needs individuals, and/or older adults.
