Job summary

Redner's Markets in Nesquehoning, PA, is looking for a Produce Department Associate who will direct and supervise all functions of the Produce Department in the absence of the Produce Manager.

You will assist with merchandising, ordering, pricing, stocking, and ensuring product quality, freshness, and compliance with health laws while greeting customers and delivering prompt service. This is a non-exempt, full-time position reporting to the Produce Manager.

Qualifications

• Basic math and counting for invoices and shelf counts.
• Strong communication skills for customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand most of the shift.
• Dexterity for trimming and packing produce.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Produce Department functions in the absence of the Produce Manager.
• Assist with merchandising plans for the department including flowers and cut fruit/veg.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking to ensure accuracy and product rotation.
• Follow policies regarding ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking to ensure accuracy.
• Participate in shrink control and maintain product quality and freshness.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
