Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked, clean, and customer-focused during business hours. The role requires friendly, energetic demeanor and adherence to department procedures.

You will stock, rotate, assist customers, log products, and participate in program initiatives while maintaining pricing accuracy and safety standards. This position supports sales and profitability and offers growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps produce department, floral area, storage area and work areas clean and safe.
• Stocks and rotates produce, ensures pricing and tag accuracy.
• Assists customers, answers questions and promotes product selections.
• Receives and inspects shipments for temperature, quality.
• Maintains signs, coupons, promotional materials and recipe cards.
• Operates knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
• Participates in pre-inventory and back stock; matches tags to products.
• Runs cut fruit and vegetable program.
• Supports department sales and profitability.
• Maintains product knowledge and organized appearance.
• Walks department to ensure cleanliness.
