Job summary

Kroger is seeking team members to deliver an outstanding customer experience in a busy retail environment. You will help maintain a clean, safe store, assist department managers in meeting sales goals, and promote our Customer 1st strategy and core values of respect, integrity, and safety.

Responsibilities include answering customer questions, knowing products, assisting with produce preparation, informing customers of specials, and stocking merchandise while maintaining quality and safety

• Maintain knowledge of products and provide recommendations.
• Assist with produce platters/trays preparation as needed.
• Inform customers of produce specials and promotions.
• Recommend items to meet customers' needs and preferences.
• Prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise accurately.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks and incidents.
• Operate calmly in busy periods and resolve conflicts cooperatively.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide assistance to customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
