Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked, clean, and organized while assisting customers with purchases and product selection. The role emphasizes friendly, energetic customer service and adherence to department guidelines.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years grocery retail experience is preferred. Knowledge of health department guidelines and a willingness to work varied hours are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure produce department, floral area, storage area, and work areas are clean and safe.
• Stock and rotate produce and floral products; maintain pricing and tagging accuracy.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selections; upsell where appropriate.
• Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Communicate promotions, recipe cards, and information on complementary foods.
• Operate and handle equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks.
• Participate in pre-inventory prep and back stock activities.
• Run the cut fruit and vegetable program and support department goals.
