Fresh Thyme Market in Westerville, OH is hiring a Produce Clerk to keep the department stocked, clean, and inviting while assisting customers with product selection. You will follow department guidelines, rotate produce, and maintain pricing accuracy to support sales and customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years grocery retail experience; relevant floral or natural foods exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of produce department, floral area, storage area, and work area for safety.
• Stocks produce/floral department; rotates product and keeps pricing accurate.
• Assists customers with purchases and product selection.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for quality and temperature.
• Monitors signs and promotional materials.
• Operates equipment like knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Supports pre-inventory preparation and back stock checks.
• Assists with cut fruit and vegetable programs.
• Supports department sales and profitability objectives.
• Maintains knowledge of products and ensures orderly, sanitary displays.
