Fresh Thyme Market in Ohio seeks a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked and clean while assisting customers with enthusiasm and product knowledge. You will maintain safety standards and follow department guidelines, contributing to a friendly, efficient shopping experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in grocery retail (Floral preferred). Flexibility to work varied hours and a strong team attitude are essential.

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Grocery retail experience in Floral department preferred (1–2 years).
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.
• Must maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Able to adapt to high-volume retail in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and able to work varied hours.

Responsabilidades

• Keeps produce department, floral area, storage, and work areas clean and safe.
• Stock, rotate, and present products; ensure tags and pricing accuracy.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection; upsell when possible.
• Receive and inspect products for quality and temperature.
• Monitor POP signs and promo materials; share information on products.
• Operate tools and equipment safely (knives, scales, hand trucks, etc.).
• Participate in pre-inventory prep; manage back stock and tagging.
• Lead the cut fruit and vegetable program as needed.
• Owns sales and profitability of the department.
• Maintain product knowledge and proper product preparation.
• Walks the department to ensure order and sanitation.
