Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department clean, stocked, and welcoming for shoppers. You will assist customers, maintain pricing accuracy, and support the cut fruit/vegetable program throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of grocery retail experience, preferably in floral or natural foods. Flexible hours and strong teamwork are valued in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps produce department clean and stocked during business hours.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection.
• Maintains tag and pricing accuracy and merchandise presentation.
• Operates equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, hand trucks.
• Participates in pre-inventory preparation and back stock management.
• Runs the cut fruit and vegetable program.
• Supports sales and profitability of the department.
