Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked, clean, and inviting while assisting customers with purchases and product selection. You will rotate stock, ensure pricing accuracy, and support our cut fruit and vegetable programs in a fast-paced, health-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of grocery retail experience, and a passion for fresh foods.

Qualifications

• Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
• Ability to adapt to a high-volume retail environment while working cross-functionally.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure produce department, floral area, storage area, and work areas are clean and safe.
• Stock produce, rotate products, face items, and keep pricing accurate.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection with a friendly demeanor.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for quality and temperature compliance.
• Monitor signage and promotional materials and ensure related coupon info is available.
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks as trained.
• Participate in pre-inventory prep and back stock organization.
• Support and run the cut fruit and vegetable program.
• Contribute to department sales and profitability through knowledge and service.
• Walk the department to maintain a clean and organized appearance.
