Job summary

El Super is hiring a Produce Clerk at our #70 Vermont location in Los Angeles. Under the Store Operations Team, you will provide customer service, maintain fresh produce displays, and help rotate stock. This role requires physical effort including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Starting rate $18.47 per hour. Prior retail experience is helpful; basic PC/Outlook skills are a plus. Join us and be part of the Chedraui USA family devoted to low prices and community service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and pricing codes.
• Write simple correspondence.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
