Job summary

El Super is seeking a Produce Clerk in Santa Ana, CA. Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, you will assist customers, maintain and rotate the produce displays, and ensure cleanliness of the department.

You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and provide friendly service in a fast-paced grocery environment. Retail-friendly skills with basic PC/Outlook help are valued.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and coworkers.
• Follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service under supervision of Produce Manager.
• Assist customers, clean, fill and rotate perishable displays.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
