Produce Clerk (Finance)

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Current food handler's permit upon employment

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Comparable retail experience
• Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
• Promote corporate brands and foster trust and respect among colleagues
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store offerings
• Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers
• Assist with preparing produce platters and trays
• Inform customers of produce specials and recommend products
• Properly prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
• Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate actions
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with advertisements and promotions
• Ensure proper temperature maintenance and logs for cases and coolers
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report accidents or safety risks
• Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
• Report any safety risks, illegal activities, or incidents to management
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
