Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Produce Clerk to bring fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs to our customers. You will prepare, package, and display produce, ensuring top quality and freshness while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities include welcoming customers, answering questions, and maintaining clean, stocked displays. Must be 18+, pass background checks, and have a food workers card where required. Weekly pay and benefits offered.

• Complete a pre-employment background check
• Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed

• Answer questions and offer produce recommendations
• Wash, peel, cut, and package fresh produce; stock and rotate
• Inspect freshness and remove items not meeting quality standards
• Monitor inventory and keep displays well stocked
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per health regulations
• Collaborate with team for a smooth customer experience
• Perform other tasks as assigned

As a Produce Clerk, you'll be at the forefront of bringing nature's bounty to our customers' tables. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh fruit products, ensuring they are of the highest quality and freshness for our customers. Your dedication to organization and customer service will ensure that our customers have access to the finest fruits, vegetables, and herbs, while enjoying a positive and enjoyable shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
