Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Produce Clerk to bring fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs to customers with care and pride. You will prepare, package, and display produce, greet shoppers, and help locate items while ensuring quality and freshness.

Responsibilities include keeping displays stocked and rotated, answering questions, and upholding health and safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a friendly shopping experience for our guests.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What You'll Do
