Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Produce Clerk to prepare, package, and display fresh produce while ensuring quality and freshness for customers. You will greet customers, answer questions, and help them locate items in the produce area.

The role emphasizes organization, teamwork, and adherence to safety guidelines to maintain a positive shopping experience. Previous produce interest and 18+ eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh fruit products, ensuring they are of the highest quality and freshness for our customers. What You'll Do
