Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler's permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Retail experience
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and foster trust and respect among colleagues
- Create an inviting environment by answering product questions and providing suggestions
- Maintain knowledge of department products, assist with produce platters/trays, and inform customers of specials
- Recommend products, prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, and address issues appropriately
- Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain temperature logs
- Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and participate in preventive maintenance
- Handle customer and employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activities
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with integrity
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
