Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler's permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Retail experience
- Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and foster trust and respect among colleagues
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making product suggestions
- Maintain knowledge of products and assist with preparing produce platters/trays
- Inform customers of specials and recommend products
- Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate action when needed
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
- Display a positive attitude and stay current with store promotions
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs
- Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and accidents
- Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues
- Report safety risks, illegal activities, or incidents to management
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
