Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service. You’ll rotate products, assist customers, check in deliveries, and help maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced produce department.

Previous experience is not required as Hy-Vee provides training. The role emphasizes active, team-based work and adherence to company guidelines in a high-energy retail environment.

Qualifications

• No extensive experience required; training provided.
• Six months or less of related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting their needs.
• Review merchandise for freshness and rotate stock to maintain quality.
• Ensure adequate product supply and develop daily production lists.
• Check in product, price products, and review invoices as needed.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as necessary.
• Practice proper sanitation and keep work area clean and safe at all times.
• Remove trash and assist with department upkeep.
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly service to customers.
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards and department guidelines.
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up.
