Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. seeks a Produce Clerk to keep the department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service. You’ll help customers find what they need, rotate stock, and ensure cleanliness and safety on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, checking in and stocking products, and maintaining quality standards. Training is provided; a team-oriented, active work environment awaits in the busy produce department.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile and assisting them.
• Review the status and appearance of merchandise for freshness and rotate stock to maintain quality.
• Ensure an adequate product supply and prepare, finish, and replenish product as needed.
• Check in product, review invoices, and price products for customers as needed.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers.
