Essential Job Functions

• Supports the Produce Manager in the overall performance, efficiency and profitable operations of the Produce department
• Follows established departmental procedures for receiving merchandise including inspecting the product when delivered, pricing the product and restocking cases to ensure freshness and quality, accuracy and product rotation
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
• Assumes responsibility for ordering produce in the absence of the Produce Manager
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products
• Washes, cuts, peels, wraps and prepares fruit for stocking
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing
• Maintains back stock in good order
• Maintains a safe, clean and well‑organized working and shopping environment
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices
• Operates and sanitizes all equipment in a safe and proper manner

• Must possess a love for local food and an interest in telling the story behind it
• Must conduct oneself in an honest, professional and respectful manner at all times
• Must possess a love of people, interact with people well, and possess a desire for excellent customer service

Pay and Benefits
