Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Produce-Floral Manager in Roanoke, VA to lead department inventory, pricing integrity, and key operational processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. You will direct product handling, staffing, and training to ensure exceptional guest service, quality, and safety standards.

This fast-paced role requires a hands-on leader who can manage seasonal demands, maintain planograms, and drive results while upholding The Fresh Market’s brand and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Ability to read planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate service recommendations and accommodate special requests.
• Manage order guides, deadlines, shrink reduction, and damage control.
• Properly receive and stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing levels.
• Direct teams to handle and prepare specialty produce items and ready-made solutions while maintaining quality.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through training platforms.

About The Position

As the Produce-Floral Manager, you are taking the lead in managing department inventory, pricing integrity and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to deliver results.

The pay range for this position is $18.40 - $23.00 per hour

What You'll Do

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service recommendations and accommodating their special requests
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, slice, and prepare specialty produce items, fruit and veggie platters/trays and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day, while maintaining quality product levels as indicated within TFM standards.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on-the-job” as well as through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

Availability

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old
