FreshDirect in New York is seeking a Produce Category Analyst to transform data into actionable insights across the produce and floral categories. You will partner with Category leadership and Buyers to improve sales, forecast, inventory productivity, and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and strong analytical, communication, and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of experience + education.
• Experience with advanced ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
• Knowledge of SAP MM PP modules preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• 1+ year in Food / Grocery Retail / CPG or related industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly Produce Market Reports including USDA market news, pricing, weather impacts, and industry trends.
• Track vendor on‑time, in‑full metrics; supports vendor performance reviews.
• Improve vendor performance and deliver best cost procurement strategies.
• Coordinate with Demand Planning on forecast optimization and promotions.
• Coordinate with Receiving and Ground Ops on inbound process optimization.
• Maintain target in‑stock levels across multiple warehouse locations.
