As an operator on 7am-7pm shift Mon-Thu (3-day weekend) in Seymour, CT, you will load, set up, and run semi-automatic machines, inspect output, and support continuous improvement in a safety‑driven environment.

• Read / use precision gauges and tools.
• Perform shop math.
• Read/follow written instructions.
• Use computer for simple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders / product documentation
• Load and unload spools with raw material and finished product
• Set up machines: load pay off reels and spools, remove empty spools, guide wire through machine, change dies and gears
• Operate and monitor semi-automatic and rigid machines and take-up and pay-off machines
• Repair / weld breaks, capstan, and other operational issues
• Make samples for QC
• Gauge / inspect product
• Load and operate chopper
• Operate fork trucks and reel mover
• Monitor and maintain supply of raw material
• Generate labels, apply to product and document
• Cut off, secure, wrap and remove finished product from line to storage
• Trouble shoot line problems and repair or request assistance as indicated
• Communicate with supervisors, work as part of team

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
