Job summary

Hayward-Laboratories,-Inc is seeking a diligent Line Worker to support bottling and packaging operations on a rotating shift. You will assist in capping, labeling, and packing while maintaining cleanliness and GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include operating with attention to quality, moving products to pallets, and adhering to safety protocols. A strong work ethic and ability to lift light loads are required.

Qualifications

• Rotating to a different line position every two hours.
• Complete own work before others can complete theirs.
• Meet or exceed output with minimal waste.
• Attend two safety meetings per month and follow GMP and PPE rules.

Responsibilities

• Apply and/or insert caps or pumps to bottles and jars.
• Group and orient product to push through automated taping, coding and wrapping machines.
• Load product onto the line or trays.
• Pack/insert product or literature into shrink sleeves, shippers and packers.
• Form cartons and shippers for product packing and shipping.
• Inspect for quality and cosmetic concerns.
• Move packaged product to pallets and create pallet patterns.
• Must be able to lift/push up to 10 lbs regularly.
• Torquing or tightening caps up to 20 lbs of force.
• Break down empty corrugate and palletize for recycling.
• Sweep floors and maintain line cleanliness at end of shift.
• Count rejects and remove trash to the main aisle.

• Essential tasks every Line Worker must perform:
• Apply and/or Insert Caps or Pumps to Bottles and Jars
• Grouping and Orienting product to push through automated taping, coding and wrapping machines
• Loading Product onto the line or trays
• Packing/Inserting product or literature into shrink sleeves, shippers and packers
• Forming cartons and shippers for insertion of product for shipping
• Inspecting and Cleaning for Quality and cosmetic concerns
• Moving packaged product to pallets, forming specific pallet patterns as directed.
• Must be able to lift and/or push up to 10 lbs. on a regular basis
• Additional tasks employee may need to perform:
• Torquing or tightening caps requiring up to 20lbs of force
• Scraping Trays (HP4)
• Hand stamping codes
• Hand taping boxes and shippers
• Employee is to assure complete cleanliness of the line at the end of each shift, or during mechanical down times, by performing the following:
• Sweep floors
• Count rejects and move to the main aisle
• Remove all trash to the main aisle.
• Break down all empty corrugate and palletize for recycling.

Requirements

• Employee is required to train and work on all lines and will be rotated every two hours to a different position on the line. They are required to relieve any and all other line workers that may be called to leave the line.
• While performing the job the employee must complete his/her own work before others can complete their work at a frequency of several items per minute depending on the line, the product, and/or the position.
• Employee is required to meet or exceed the output requirement of the task to be performed with minimal component and batch product waste.
• The employee must have the ability to comprehend and carry out instructions from the Line Leader and/or Supervisor or Hayward management pertaining mainly, but not limited to training issues.
• In the course of performing their job the employee will be required to attend two (2) safety meetings at a frequency of every month. They will follow all safety and GMP requirements of the facility and insure all Personal Protection Equipment is used dependent on the job at all times.
