Job summary

GFF is seeking a production line operator in California to support the daily packaging and palletizing processes. You will feed the line, inspect products for quality, and perform weight checks to ensure conformance to specs.

Responsibilities include film changes, ERP-related labeling, startup checks, and routine housekeeping. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work with a team, and follow GMPs is required.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak basic English.
• Must be able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position.
• Basic computer skills and data entry ability.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Packs cases of product and palletizes to specific pallet patterns.
• Feeds the line with packaging material.
• Visually inspect product for quality requirements such as code dates, labeling/printing, damage or defects.
• Perform and register quality checks for fill weights and conformance to spec.
• Perform film roll changes.
• Notify supervisor of discrepancies, quality issues or downtime.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs and safety rules.
• Complete production reports (allocation downtime and boards updated).
• Responsible for ERP transactions (print LPN) or labels pallet with documents when system is down.
• Fill the startup check list.
• Housekeeping and sanitation.
• Able to start and stop machine.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor (e.g., rework).

• Packs cases of specific counts of product and palletizes to specific pallet patterns.
• Feed the line with packaging material
• Visually inspect product for quality requirements such as code dates, labeling/printing, damage, leakers or any other defect.
• Perform and register quality checks for fill weights and conformance to spec
• Perform film roll changes.
• Notify supervisor of any discrepancies, quality issues or downtime superior as 15 minutes
• Assure that SOP’s, GMP’s and safety rules are strictly followed
• Complete production reports (allocation downtime and board updated)
• Responsible for ERP Transactions (print LPN) or labels pallet with specific documents in case of system down
• Fill the startup check list
• Housekeeping
• Able to start and stop machine
• Other activity requested by supervisor (rework for example)
• Help with sanitation
• Performs other duties as assigned.
