Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings in California seeks a full‑time production line worker to pack cases, palletize according to patterns, and feed the line with packaging materials. You will visually inspect product, perform quality checks, and handle ERP tasks when systems are down, while ensuring SOPs and GMPs are followed.

You will also participate in film roll changes, startup checklists, and sanitation efforts, with a focus on teamwork and independent work habits in a fast-paced food

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak basic English.
• Must be able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must collaborate and communicate with team members and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Packs cases of specific counts of product and palletizes to pallet patterns.
• Feeds the line with packaging material.
• Visually inspect product for quality like codes, labeling, or damage.
• Perform and register quality checks for fill weights and conformance to spec.
• Perform film roll changes.
• Notify supervisor of discrepancies or downtime within 15 minutes.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules.
• Complete production reports and record downtime.
• Handle ERP transactions (print LPN) or labels when systems are down.
• Fill startup check list; start/stop machines as needed.
• Assist with sanitation and other duties as assigned.

• Packs cases of specific counts of product and palletizes to specific pallet patterns.
• Feed the line with packaging material
• Visually inspect product for quality requirements such as code dates, labeling/printing, damage, leakers or any other defect.
• Perform and register quality checks for fill weights and conformance to spec
• Perform film roll changes.
• Notify supervisor of any discrepancies, quality issues or downtime superior as 15 minutes
• Assure that SOP’s, GMP’s and safety rules are strictly followed
• Complete production reports (allocation downtime and board updated)
• Responsible for ERP Transactions (print LPN) or labels pallet with specific documents in case of system down
• Fill the startup check list
• Able to start and stop machine
• Other activity requested by supervisor (rework for example)
• Help with sanitation
• Performs other duties as assigned.
